I dedicate this mix to anyone who loves the voice and others too.
Back to basics with my the style of music prefered.
I guess the #20 edition is sort of an anniversary, so you put together a masterpiece! It's hard for me to comment as I would only repeat myself with all the things I said at #13 and #14.

This has solid consistency again just like #13 that I love in your mixes. It makes me think that I'd definitely buy this mix if it was released on CD.
You start and finish with just a touch of the underground sound, it's very subtle but great for an intro and outro. The start is in fact quite jazzy at the same time with the flute, very nice touch.
Lift Me Up : I wanted to ask you where you get these tracks from??? But I won't since your shared the list of your favorite stores with me, I definitely need to do some crate digging there. This is brilliant here! Phat bass, some slaps (Sorry Toddy! ) nice RnB, reminds me of Janet Jackson and alikes - a real escape.
There are some bad news and good news with "Back To Love"! The bad one first: this is on my next tracklist for my ParisOne Deeper guest appearance, and I'm almost finished with the mix! The good news: it is a bit different version, different context, so it won't be an issue. The bright side: remember my story with Andrew J? Now it just happened with the two of us, great minds think alike!
So yeah, sorry if I repeat myself but I have to note that this is just like I made it myself, for myself (well, a little bit better version of myself) - just like I felt at #13.
In this mix you don't make any shortcuts or journeys into very deep, dark underground like at #14 - track 4 is a bit deeper but still very funky with the riffs and you go back to soul with Track 5 immediately. It's a bit edgy, very tight funk tones that we both like (eg. the typical Richard Earnshaw sound - tight, that's the right word) but then Track 8 brings back the soul and jazz again while keeping the edgy beats. All through the mix there is this delicate balance of this tight funk and smooth jazzy soul, very interesting combination (that is my personal favorite again). Very nice journey.
It gets tighter again between 9 and 12, but then the vocals on Butterfly balance out the edginess, there are even more subtle vocals at 10 and 11 to keep the soul.
It's like French cousine: there are excellent ingredients, ones with unique tastes by themselves, but it's all about the sophisticated way of combining them to keep the individual flavors but at the same time blend into a well balanced bigger taste... smile
My player might have an error since the mix stops for me at around 56 minutes, while it says above that it is 61 minutes long. I will download it now and will listen on my iPod before going to sleeep - I might comment on the techniques and transitions later - but all and all: brilliant job again! I should say it's getting better and better, you are already great and it's nice to see that you can even develop from there!
