It is not perfect but I hope you enjoy. thank you all for your comments and your votes. see you soon smile
Annie, What a wonderful mix. Very up and happy but also nice deep grooves! I enjoyed ALL of the tracks. They all flowed very well and the transitions worked very well.Je vous remercie pour un autre grand ensemble!

...and there ain't nothing that you can't do! Well, this popped in my mind so I had to quote the classic when I listened to your set. After Groov In Love #13 I said I was speechless - I could say the same here again but it's now getting miraculous how you put together another perfect set like this! This is a sign of great talent and I tell you why:
Consistency With this one you are now officially the Queen of Consistency - we discussed that there are different themes and ideas you can build a mix around, and I enjoyed the journey type approach on Groov In Love#14. However this level of consistent mood all the way through that you have here, from the same artist is incredibly hard to achieve. Again, just like Groove #13 its' not too soft, not even going close to being cheesy and carefully avoiding to be trivial or obvious. At the same time the mood is never too hard either. The one and only track where I felt that it was not perfectly matching (however still well within the boudaries) was the Panovino - Way I Am track. I always thought about that as one of the highlights of my Late Nite Vibes set. So there you go, my higlight is your lowlight, that makes me wonder when I get close to this special sound that you have here.
DJ Toddy is right, it is uplifting, that's the good word. Another word is class, you are way too classy and sophisticated in track selection.
However what Toddy misses to add (forgive me for argueing with the Professor! smile is that not all Richard Earnshaw tracks are created equal, there are indeed some harder, still funky deep house track or remixes, so one cannot go just blindly selecting _any_ Richard Earnshaw track. Not saying that there are any "bad" tracks since I haven't heard any so far but there are different faces and moods, eg. the other Earnshaw Megamix I did show to you Annie and to DJ Toddy as well from Pete Horridge (I also recommend to everyone): http://soundcloud.com/xxxcorps/we-are-hous...arnsh...
Same concept, purely Earnshaw songs, but very different result, nowhere near your consistency, it has periods of real hard house sounds mixed with the soulful funky ones. I also have a lot of Earnshaw and One51 label tracks in my mixes but Late Nite is not this consistent. I tend to go on a journey, I like it that way but still admire the strictly one single mood mix all the way though - because honestly it's very hard to make!
Track selection And here's the reason why: first of all you need to have _lots_ of tracks to choose from to find the right mood and be able to throw out anything that sounds just a bit of a compromise. If you don't have enough tracks, you will have to compromise, these is no other choice (since you won't have anything to mix). I know this as sometimes I have to wait long periods before I can create a whole set for some tunes I like finding slowly the appropriate "environment" for them that lives up to the quality and stanards of the mood defining original songs. I can tell you that there is a lot of canning ruling out and throwing away only good enough, average or subprime tunes.
Just hearing what remained here in your set makes me wonder what else you have thrown out and that is again a sign for great DJing!
I will not even comment on your mixing techniques now - since it's not relevant. You play from your heart, and (quote again) you've got the biggest heart! smile
So don't worry about not being perfect, this isn't about technical perfection - you are way more than perfect with your special musical taste and knowledge. (And you should know that you're incredibly good mixing _live_ like this, even if it's practised)
Find your own way (hmmm... a Lisa Shaw quote now? smile - but we both know that you are already on the right track.
