Normally my end-of-the-year set is a mix of various electronic music genres, however 2015 turned out to be a good year for trance music, so this one's a Trance Only set!
This year I've been listening quite a lot to the (weekly) radio shows of Chicane (Sun:Sets) and Solarstone (Pure Trance Radio and Solaris International) and these are – together with a bit of crate digging at Soundcloud – the inspiration for this episode of Selected.
Starting gently on the progressive side with tracks by Yotto, Cullera, Roman Hope and a collaboration between Solarstone and Orkidea – for the latter one, I suggest you listen to the full length version on Soundcloud because Orkidea's take on Slowmotion II...

After that it's getting more energetic and even more melodic. Although I find all tracks absolutely amazing, a couple really stand out. First one is Airbase's Panache – massively melodic, atmospheric and captivating: an instant classic! Of couse a pumping Garuda track cannot be left out, so this year it's Gareth Emery's Huracan in the Ben Gold remix Also present are Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond and did I already mention Solarstone? Lots of good things come from Wales, and Solarstone is definitly one of them! His Pure remix of Stine Grove's Against The Flow puts a big smile on my face! Awesome drive, perfect combination of vocals and an infectious synth melody – a “Pure Trance” anthem
Final track of this set is one you've probably heard before, and if not: you should! It's one that had a massive impact on the trance genre and electronic music in general. Played on every festival, big of small, as opening or closing track, but always getting everyone's hands in the air: Universal Nation by Push, this time in the (more recently released) Orjan Nilsen remix.
Deejay Angelo thanks for Featuring this set! Really appreciate the support I'll check out the fb page as well. VIVAMIN equally thank you for your support!
