You heard the new Bondax? Sick deep house, bruv.
Except it isn't deep house. Neither is the latest George FitzGerald, nor the next Duke Dumont.
Without getting too pernickety, incorrect genre blanketing is a plague on plenty of new music. <I'm sure some of you will immediately think "POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK" - as I'm often accused of genre dodging and manipulation>
Whether it’s a bass producer being lumped in with dubstep, a juke producer being categorised as future garage or Burial being heralded as the saviour of night bus, ill informed youngsters, out-of-touch music retailers and wannabe bloggers are bandying signifiers around with infuriating abandon.

Whether it’s the result of a lack of historical perspective, laziness or bandwagon jumping does not matter, but it needs to stop. For instance, in the case of one of my favourite genre: DEEP HOUSE, it’s a genre not just defined by a slight sense of atmosphere, lazy jazz motifs, rounded edges or warm bass notes, it’s about so much more! As Bill Clinton would have said on the subject: " It is the SOUL stupid!!.

I'm also accused of having a REAL BAD TASTE IN MUSIC and that my MIXES & MIXING are simply SH**!
MOZART at his time was accused of worse - as being tone deaf, his compositions not worthy of even to be played in street markets and that he was simply a shameless self promoting wannabe composer!! And we all know now that MOZART is the greatest artist ever lived; a child prodigy and a talent second to none! ..well maybe MICHAEL JACKSON..
Definitely a winner with this mix. I'm loving the tunes and how can you possibly go wrong with the legendary Vincent Price on a track. Hollywood studios knew it, Michael Jackson knew it and now you know it!
deep house has a vibe, the continuous use of deep rolling bass-lines. there is a repetitive melody. people claiming the tunes sound similar is incorrect. there is variation from the different chords used on the repetitive melody. you can hear the sounds from the electronic instruments used... peopl...
