1984, is an experiment for me I uploaded this mix on another website a while back, with no explanation behind it just the title (1984) and it got literally minimal response and feedback. That however was not what was so interesting for me, the history behind this particular mix is that it is track for track the same mix in the same order that the world famous SASHA performed on New Years Eve 2014 @ The Last Night On Earth show, from 12mid - 1am. Sasha's performance was of course hailed as one of his greatest live shows in years, the guest who attended paid hundreds of dollars/pounds to be in the audience.

I have done my very best to mix this set in exactly the same fashion and represent perfectly the style and complexity that Sasha delivered that night. I wanted to prove to myself that I could produce such a performance, to bad I can't get paid the same. smile
Enjoy!!

Hey Vic, great Job . I know what your saying about their pay, but as you know Sasha & Digweed have been around for a long time and were on Ministry of Sound which gave them the boost that they needed. Aside from DJing they are very smart business people which is what alot of DJs are missing. to be successful you need to be business smart or you wont last. to give you a great example, Swedish house members play almost the same exact set every gig and they get a minimum of $100k per show! sickens me! Anyways great job, really enjoyed it! and loved your write up for this. I think we as DJs should talk about stuff like this more often. Cheers! Trixta
I do not know Sasha, but your job recovery and succeeded very well, I did not listen to the original work, but it is very good technically as well as in the selection. well done mate !!
Superb buddy! You are definitely up there as one of my favs on this site. I love the thought that goes into your mixes and the precision. I especially love the track in the early 20's. Awesome Vic!
