Ya the first transistion is a bit to long. A early`r smooth cut wouldt had made it. But it is a livemix and it was the first transition between both song for me.. probably next one =) I have to much mp3s .. a picked set wouldt made it but i mostly pick rand...
Ya the first transistion is a bit to long. A early`r smooth cut wouldt had made it. But it is a livemix and it was the first transition between both song for me.. probably next one =) I have to much mp3s .. a picked set wouldt made it but i mostly pick random with sense to artists or a short listing to it. It is a good mix not perfect but cool parts init. Next one will have bit less scratching. Fun for the time i made it but listing to it - it is bit to much of it. After few more mixes you will see i luv fx, cuts and scratching more then a standard transition mix that i can run with winamp fade in fade out ^^. I need to work on the decks or i get bored. Greatings Owi .. Stay tuned.
193 mn... Hell yeah ! Need time to listen to the totality.
What an introduction ! The transition between Monk and "Open page" is absolutely brilliant. Monk is one of my favorites pianists with Bill Evans and Mc Coy Tyner. Your choice was risky and original but you did it.

The beatmatching is better on this one. But, be careful with the different FX, cuts, scratches, loops and so on. Stay focus on the beat and the pulse. Don't try to hide them behind an artificial curtain. By example, the transition between "Open Page" and the next song is not good. And it's not a question of skills or technic because you have both. It's just, I think, a problem with the way you feel the rythmic scansion, at this precise moment. We can hear the same type of issue through the transition between "Innersense" and "Mr Turttles". So, keep on the good work ! And the rest will follow...
