Excellent chilled and almost ambient vibes, perfect for the Xmas mood! Chapter 3 takes a journey into world music influenced jazz with heavy focus on percussion driven compositions starting with the Nigerian Udu played by Kornel Horvath, followed by a lot of tabla for some Indian vibes with jazzy sax and guitar, kalimba and steel drums - turning a bit blue but still chilled at the end.
Watch out for Herbie Hancock's jazz cover of Peter Gabriel's classic "Mercy Street".
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I am enjoying this for the second time, didn 't manage to listen to the entire set yesterday but today I have the pleasure. I too have been listening to a lot of jazzy/funk music lately, good to hear some 'real' music ;-)

Great openin track, a favourite of mine also, also track 4 is an absolute favourite so a great joy to hear those two. Some tracks I'm not familiar with but that is the great thing about this site, we get to know new music to our ears.
Look forward to more from your jazz archives.
Happy New Year to you too, and speak soon I hope, Lychee
Hi Dimsa, thanks for the kind words! I will definitely check out these Bob James tracks, my knowledge on early Bob James is pretty spotty as I admitted before, I only know bits...
Hi Dimsa, thanks for the kind words! I will definitely check out these Bob James tracks, my knowledge on early Bob James is pretty spotty as I admitted before, I only know bits and pieces like Two and Four and so on, and mostly Fourplay albums instead of his solos. BTW this "Angela" version is not "remix" it's an original BJ song (his own cover) from his "Angels of Shanghai" album - I know the original Angela of course and some other classics from the Taxi soundtrack.
Yeas, it's about the mood, just like the many moods of DJ Dimsa smile
