A mix I did for a certain lounge show called "The Chill Conner", thought I should share it. Enjoy smile w hotels retreat
WOW, Track 11. This is the longest & best comment I've seen on this site. So concise & detailed it's even almost scary lol.

Firstly thanks for taking the time to listen to the mix & for voting on it. The intro track is a bit commercial so I am a bit surprised that people seem to have been taken aback by it. Track 3 bowled me over when I first heard it, I really like this version.
In this mix I actually tried to be a little commercial as I was mixing for an audience that I suspect is not too deep into lounge. I had to hold myself back from using really deep lounge tunes but I couldnt resist using tracks like "Vocie" & "Os Pastore Da Noitte". One day I wish to make a really deep lounge/bossa-nova mixtape, that would be nice. One thing I wanted to create in the listener though, is a relaxed state of mind, body & soul. So thanks for feeling that
lol about the jingle, no I'm not a radio DJ. I just use it to identify who made the mix as some people have a nasty habit of kidnapping other DJ's work & making it their own.
yeah track 11 is a beautiful track. I wasnt too disappointed with the vocal though so I guess you must b smusically strick: a good thing
I know what you mean about using tracks used by mark farina but like I said aerlier I wanted to add a commercial edge to this mix due to the audience that I was mixing it for.
Anyway thanks again for everything cheers mate. Other mixes of mine to check out:
Aaaaaaaaahhh, sh&t! Sorry for my French but that was just what I was saying listening to your intro track, that is some heavy vibe there! Then it goes on with Aya and Track 3 which was very surprising for me, excellent chill-vibe cover of this brazil classic - it's a gem!

Man, there is a very subtle vibe all through this mix, it's very chill but somehow not the commercial lounge/chill electro-ambient sound, it's very dreamy and acoustic - shows your brilliant taste in music. I loved the headnodding beats of Aquanote, great electro-funk bass there... Your jingle at 30:14 was a bit abrupt, it's a cool jingle though, are you a Radio DJ, is this where you use it?
Track 11 is a killer one! Not because it's me (hehe) - it is truly an awesome piece - reminded me of St. Germain des Pres Cafe immediately, even looked it up, it's Volume III, Fertile Ground's Take Me Higher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BRTFsqZAJs
However the main surprise here is the whole sax solo and the bass, the whole music that starts after the vocal is over. Man, this is a masterpiece! It's like Sade's band, the early Sade albums, the bass is just like it was Stuart Matthewman playing it. Too bad that the vocalist's voice is very disapppointing - I'd be keen to get the instrumental of this one.
Great to see Gelka here, some fellow Hungarian musicians! I love J-Boogie (like everyone else I guess), they are Mark Farina's favorites hence I'm usually too scared to use the tracks that Farina used in his Mushroom Jazz series, it's hard to beat his work. This one here was on Volume 6, I also have it since it was release unmixed on Beatport, it's a great one! (Apparently Volume 7 is coming soon in October, looking forward to it).
Really nice set mate, I reckon I'll check out your other ones too...
