#1 - That Baseline and Piano combo!! #2 - Love the reverb on the vocals and the fact that they are in French ...and that warm pad like string sound in the background. But not sure about the Transition to #2 ..perhaps less EQ ..especially the HiHats (Treble). Love the english vocals ...classic style....

This song in its original form was classic ..this remix is stunning! Love the synth work. #4 - Whoooo weee what a track! The vocal pitch and melody really takes me back to the day! This is an outstanding track ..it almost made me spill my coffee!! smile #6 - Love the samples in use ..nice and fairly minimalistic track. I like this ...I could easily add it to my collection (along with 1, 2, 3 and 4 smile) #8 - Wow can things get any Deeper than this?? This is Deep with a capital "D"!! #9 - Well what more can be said about Ross Couch? I used this track in the 2nd edition of the House Series and in my Blog I wrote that we should all pray that Ross Couch makes music for a long time! No question about it ..this Track has "Classic" written all over it. In time we will talk about it like we talk about Frankie Knuckles's "Tears". #10 - Those spoken lyrics, the voice and synth baseline ...wow! I also like the near disco like sound that is in there somewhere smile #12 - Andy Caldwell ...enough said! Love the sax work and vocal sampling.
All in all its an outstanding set and I truly enjoyed it from beginning to end. At each step you wonder what will come next. There were one or two surprises ...like #3 and #8 ...both of which were good but unexpected surprises! Well done my friend! I hope this makes number 1! 50+ for me!
I knew I was gonna love this mix, the tracklisting was like a menu in a good SanFran restaurant: at a quick glimpse I already spotted some of my favs, Mettle Music, a Maurice Joshua Nu Soul remix (bassline should be awesome there), Andy Caldwell.

But then only when I looked a bit more was when I really saw the hidden gems: WTF - Mark Morrison Return Of The Mack remix? In a deep house set? One of my favs, should be interesting... New Mondo's name rang a bell and there's also Jay-J...
The intro track confirmed my good feelings, nice subtle jazzy deep house sound. Track 2 makes it a bit darker, more house feeling, but still smooth and subtle, I like the atmosphere you create here, not too chill but still laid back.
Ah, Morrison! Never heard this version - I am buying it! Same stuff, you keep the same vibe, I like it a lot! Soft, soft, very soft. I guess it's the vocals making it more upbeat, giving a nice RnB feel. Perfect.
Mettle Music doesn't disappoint, it has a bit of a Jazzanova feel to it, big more edgy sound. Track 5 goes back to the same dreamy soulful funk house feel, this track is great! You have all the prime cuts here mate... This will cost me at Beatport, gotta go shopping smile
No wonder I remembered New Mondo, my kind of tune, bit more oldschool house feel with the drums but very soulful too. You reach some incredible consistency here with your track selection, I love it! Same with the Jay-J track, and then "Controls The Sun" - where did you get all these? Top shelf all of them, this is a masterpiece dude!
Ross Couch sounds like Seal! Honestly! How cool, very similar voice character.
The Maurice remix disapppoints, well those RnB Joshua Nu Soul thumping basslines would not have been a good fit to this set, so I should not have expected that. In fact this is a great fit, bit more oldschool house sound, well, it's either not Maurice Joshua or it's one of his earlier works or he went back to his acid house roots. I'll look it up.
Nice vocals and great guitar vibes at Golden Gate Soul - hard to guess where the band is from smile, makes me wonder why I don't move to the Bay Area, home of soulful house and turntablism. I guess I could live with all that fog and crappy weather...
Good ending with Andy Caldwell. All'n'all it's very professional, sophisticated track selection with no mistakes at all. It's not chill, it's laid back that's what I'd say, a very unique mood that you set here.
Thanks for sharing, goes on my iPod for some more detailed listening!
