About Me
Back in the early 90s the jungle sound grabbed me and has never let go. I took this interest to LTJ Bukem's legendary Speed club night to see what all the fuss was about, discovered intelligent drum and bass and the love affair was sealed.
Fast forward to 2003 and Andy C's Nightlife blows my mind. It inspires me to create my own mixes, although I begin in other genres as I feel dnb is somehow sacred ground not to be sullied by my amateur efforts. It takes me five years to realise that I have thousands of dnb tunes that I love and I want to hear them mixed.
Live DJ situations, a very rare occurance, consist of two laptops running through a mixer, as seen in my profile pictures. DJing using software is controversial. I have the utmost respect for the skills of the vinyl/CD DJs, but I also respect the DJs that spin digital music. It’s all about the music and it shouldn’t matter how it’s created – as long as it moves you and makes you move.
