Do you like MELODIES and a SONG? My musical history is based on melodies and songs! But also I have always loved DANCE MUSIC with its STRAIGHT rythms, its LOOPS, SYNTHESIZERS and works, which you can ONLY do in a studio!
TRANCE is also a kind of DANCE MUSIC with a lot of sub genres of course! I try to find MELODIES in trance too! Often they are composed in MINOR! The technical construction of TRANCE with unreal echos and reverbs are quasi predestined for a vocal composition in MINOR! But sometimes you hear also HAPPY compositions in MAJOR!
You may say my tracks are a bit corny, but they are always made with love and the good ideas of TRANCE!
I have bought them again BRANDNEW on BEATPORT!
First I wanted to mix them in ABLETON LIVE again. But it coulnd't clock already the first track! Ableton Live measures audio files with TRANSIENT MARKERS, and because of this it has often massive problems to fix parts WITHOUT beats! I could fix the track at the beginning and at the end, because it has BEATS there! But not BETWEEN that! For example: The system RECORD BOX from Pioneer can clock a track, TRAKTOR can fix it, MIXMEISTER can clock it etc. They set a BEAT GRID, based on the first beat! Ableton Live measures every transient NEW! Because of this you couldn't set for example the first and the last beat in the hope that the beat grid is now correct!
I have even tried to cut the part without beats out and clock it SEPERATE! But ABLETON LIVE could not clock THAT PART correct again! Strangely it can clock SHORT CLIPS correct, but often it has problems with LONG CLIPS!
And so I was really peeved at ABLETON LIVE this time! When somebody has tips how he / she clocks audio parts without beats in ABLETON LIVE I would be very thankful!!

Because of this annoyance in Ableton Live I have decided to mix the set LIVE with the TRAKTOR KONTROL S8 again! Not any problems with setting a beat grid here! But it was not easy to mix it, because I have used two "remix decks" with eight channels loops! They are faded out and in or pumping with filters! Also loops of the two main decks!
The order of the tracks is based on the keys, often I had to work with loops! I have used dozens of cue points, that I have set BEFORE I have played the whole set. Then I have mixed it many times and have improved it each time LIVE! Also the effects are well-considered, but LIVE feeling, not too perfect!
Because I was peeved at Ableton Live this time I have pulled the RECORDED TRACK in the good old MIXMEISTER and have edited the sound there with some good old dII's! Some sound plug-ins that are running ONLY in MIXMEISTER today, NOT in Ableton Live 10!
Ok, the tools of Ableton Live are better, but I could also create a good sound with the old plug - ins in MIXMEISTER! And no problems with setting a beat grid!
