Born and raised in the Southside of Richmond, CA (San Francisco Bay Area), Big Sam began rhyming at the age of 13 under the alias of Mack Q. Introduced into the music business by his father; Big Sam was fascinated by the process of constructing clever lyrics and even the complexity of production and mixing.
In the summer of 2010 Big Sam decided to expand his talent and knowledge in the music business by also becoming a DJ. What was once a hobby has become an important part of his career and he has gained a following with packed nightclubs throughout California.
