About Me
Monkey Business is new DJ duo From Zagreb, the members are Mirsad Palos (DJ MeeKee) and Filip Kalebic (DJ Phil K.). Both members have always shown an interest into music which lead them to become DJs.
Mirsad played in several clubs around the Croatian cost at Juznjacka utjeha @ Baska voda, Sagapo Bar @ Pakostane, Sagapo Bar @ Biograd na moru. In 2012 he was resident for a month in Boogie Jungle on the island of Korcula. There he played warm up sessions for famous DJ's and producers, like Damir Ludvig, Goran Vlajic (DJ Go Cut), Gilbert Martini, with whom he did a back to back performance, and his greatest honor was to do the warm up sessions for the famous Jerry Ropero. His first performance was on a underground party called Nasipavanje in 2012, a charity event that has been going on for several years. Other important performances are the ones in Koktel bar and Illusion bar, in Zagreb. On these performances he didn't performe alone, but rather with his frend and colleague Filip Kalebic a.k.a. DJ Phil K.
Filip concentrated more on production and finding the right sound, with occasional gig at the TV bar in Jastrebarsko. In the mean time he volunteered on Radio Student as a technician and radio DJ. After some time he did the before mentioned performances with Mirsad in Koktel bar and Illusion bar. In this period of their cooperation the idea of creating a collective DJ act under the name of Monkey Business was born. This way there individual knowledge and skill are put to better use and they can satisfy a wider range of tastes. In the end monkeying around and good fun is something that these two always try to deliver to anyone, who is there purposely or accidentally.
