Special Edition of CORE
CORE – the thanksgiving edition
End of the year is a good time to reflect and again we felt that we have to be very thankful for what we have. Thus we want to give back to others who are more in need again. GOGO Music made it a habit during the last years to start into the new season with a good deed in form of a charity event, which supported different causes so far. As we enjoyed an excellent first season with our monthly label-night at Bar Kitcheners in Johannesburg it was a no brainer to host this year together with them and decided to support, in kind cooperation with the Thusanani Foundation, students at Wits. We will donate the door takings of the night and a share of the bar towards new first year students that will be commencing with their undergraduate studies this year. Proceeds from the fundraising event will be used to provide aid in the form of temporary accommodation and necessities such as food parcels and toiletries to destitute students who may not have received permanent accommodation offers at their time of arrival at Wits University.
