Well, the Red Pill or the blue? You decide!
If you choose blue, you get candy coated, brainwashed, regurgitated, contrived, conformity.
If you choose the Red Pill, you get gritty, outside of the box, authentic, real, straight from the soul, uniqueness.
Biography:
Multi genre, bass music DJ/Producer, Red Pill, has a unique sound and point of view. As Red Pill, aka Nate Armstrong, I have a passion for bass music and break-beat culture, and it comes through in every set I play. Blending the sounds of garage, footwerk, juke, dubstep, trap, grime, drumstep, drum'n'bass, and you might even hear a classic hip hop tune, dropped on occasion.
I started to develop my skills, and one of a kind sound, as a hip hop DJ. I learned to mix and scratch when vinyl was the order of the day. Then, I started to lose interest in where hip hop was going, I was introduced to jungle and drum'n'bass, and the rest is history. I have always had an open mind, and from that point, have pursued many types of bass music. The art of the broken-beat and the low end theory, are the core of my sound, whether I'm djing or producing. With that attitude, and enthusiasm for the music, I bring an ever changing performance, combining genres and tunes, old and new.
I am a savvy, intelligent, digital DJ, capable of playing an opening, headlining, or closing set, at any event. Anyone can walk in and play banger after banger, but not all can warm up a crowd properly, never burning them out before the headliner comes on. A mellow mix of garage, and deep dubstep at the sunset of your outdoor event, or a hyped up party mix of trap, grime, and dnb, at prime time in the club, I give the crowd what they need! I'm all about the party!
I have only begun learning the art of production, a couple of years ago, so there are not any releases available yet. However, the free music that I have put out in the universe, has a socially conscious theme. I am very mindful of the world around me, and I have a distinct point of view that I want to share through my productions. I also have the belief that the message should never over shadow the sound. Without the beat and energy of the music, the message has nowhere to live.
I am also a member of the MOVEMENT Bass crew, a group of like minded DJ's, representing all types of Bass music sounds,
www.facebook.com/movementizm .You can see me and the rest of the crew, every Sunday @ 5pm EST, for “Sunday FUNday†on,
