About Me
SLRBL commonly known as Sheng is a 30 year old performer born in Italy and raised in the Netherlands.
At the age of 16 (1999) he and a few close friends regularly snuck into the wildest most exclusive underground parties in Amsterdam.
Being exposed to such high quality house music performed by modern day legends at such an early age made him passionately pursue a career as a DJ...
A task he did not take lightly...
He dropped out of school to work jobs to buy records and equipment and at 21 quit his dayjob to focus solely on deejaying and promoting...
A struck of bad luck forced him to relocate himself away from his familiar country and forge a path into the unknown... Ever since he has been away from home pursuing his dreams and building skills.
14 years and many adventures later the will to DJ has taken him to perform across 4 continents chasing the dream and building essential live routine experience to elevate himself to the next level.
He had the pleasure of performing with many industry heavy weights who have eagerly awaited his solo releases after he smashed the gig....
Typically hes a dj that gets booked for 2 hours and ends up playing solo the whole night for the sake of not killing the groove... If the mans in the zone , it takes a lot of balls to take over... and even seasoned highly paid performers have shortened their sets or subdued to the public pressure to cancel and let Sheng play. His most funny achievement was outshining a top 50 dj and causing a case of mistake identity after the performance... With people thinking Sheng was the headliner and leaving shortly after mr Commercial dj started his performance and killed the deep groove with elevator trance... hahaha one for the books...
On his exotic journeys during these years its very important mentioning the energy and satisfaction he has had from the pleasure of meeting so many gifted ,kindred spirits with a similar passion for electronic music.. Young and old, of all religions and races, he had the pleasure of interacting with some of the sweetest,talented and special people in the world, sharing powerful life experiences that are still remembered today.
To Sheng this is the most precious gift imaginable and this positive energy can be best observed in a live environment where he can really connect with the audience and give them a precious glimpse inside his head by radiating his thoughts and positive energy amplified.
Approaching the electronic genre with a fresh out of the box philosophy, guts,flow, talent and reluctant to stick to rules, he subtly mixes up several genres within a set to take you on a journey through various types of underground club cultures that makes him shine in longer sets.
Ranging from mind bending Deephouse, Warm Melodic Techno , a tick of minimal and Techhouse influenced beats his strict selection of fresh tracks stands on the forefront of tomorrows electronic music scene and Range is his middle name.
When you check out a performance its always a surprise what you get since he`s always looking for the freshest cuts and always freestyles the set by connecting with the crowd with the only consistency between performances being the neverending groove and his meticulous selection and ear for quality.
All of these traits make Sheng a welcome refreshment from a scene constipated with many solo genre orientated deejays which fail to surprise and uplift due to the monotone nature of their groove and shallowness of their overall appreciation for different styles of music.
Always digging for new names , daring sub genres and controversial mixes his sets always have the element of surprise and represent all the music that's under exposed in today's club scene.
With more then a decade perfecting his DJ technique and a few hundred live performances on 4 continents there is no doubt that SLRBL has got the flow , skills and talent to raise spirits and pleasure experienced clubbers with taste across the globe.
His own boundry smashing cross breed productions are currently in the making and won't be released until SLRBL can come to full artistic expression and can fully see and feel himself in his own sound.
He feels anything else would be joining the bandwagon while to endure he`ll need to innovate and that takes time.
2013 sees Sheng utilizing a healthy amount of experimentation , science, logic, crazyness, feeling for groove and creativity to significantly build his production skills and finally deliver the long awaited debute release of this spiritual entity and claim the destiny he has forced upon himself so long ago.
With his life currently totally dedicated to production related activities like audio manipulation, sampling, synthesis , mastering , mixing , music theory , composition and sound design he's far underway in the grand scheme to fulfill his destiny and drive the spark and magic of Spiritual electronic music to a future generation.
SLRBL is a revolution just waiting to happen...
SLRBL strongly believes music comes from the soul and esthetics and marketing shouldn't be part of the industry at all. People should just simply ..... Listen...More and more carefully...

Sheng is currently residing in Tijuana Mexico fully emersed in production duties,some gigs and rounding up some local projects which still require his attention.
2014 promises to see the long anticipated return of SLRBL to European dancefloors and he vows to conquer his homelands city by city , dancefloor by dancefloor , night by night, soul by soul....
If people wonder what happens if someone dives into the unknown towards exotic destinations .. Know this... Its a bumpy ride...but the journey is amazing :) Only time hardens the softest tissue and ripens the most exotic hardened fruits and FYI this spiritual music tree has had a lot of sunshine and is ready to bear fruit :)
Having survived the craziest situations on the most exotic places across the world, its very unlikely SLRBL will ever shy away from elevating himself into an in demand artist in the underground electronic music scene.
