About Me
Marcus "Killswitch" Morgan is a controllerist / DJ / Live Performer / Producer / Songwriter Based in Auckland, New Zealand.
An entertainer, vocalist and DJ for 20 years, Marcus began shifting his focus from the lucrative commercial market to a more eclectic style of play and production around 2008.
Discovering new ways of integrating turntablism into the subtle arena of house music, alternating between gentle mixes and suprising cuts, the "killswitch" sound began to take shape.
Exploring many genres of house/electronica, he is currently working on original releases in tech house / deep house / minimal & progressive genres whilst keeping an expectant eye on Glitch, IDM, and other future styles. In addition he is working in collaborative projects, leading to joyously unexpected results.
Marcus also produces tracks and provides session vocals for TV commercials, shows and Film. He is partial to a good Karaoke session. Occasionally he does work for production companies requiring flashy 3D graphics, titles and animation. But these days, it's mostly about the music. And, of course, speaking of himself in the third person.
