Irish born James Mace discovered techno amongst the run down warehouses and terrace parties of East London. Once hooked, he immersed himself in this new culture, with regular trips to Berlin, Italy and Ibiza. From here he began DJing and producing techno and deep house. James Mace’s experience growing up both in New York and rural Ireland has led to the introduction of natural formed sounds into hard urban beats. Mace is currently working on his first full length album. Influences include Ellen Allien, Nicolas Jaar, Nathan Fake and Apparat,. Recently, the dark fun of Federico Milani and genius of James Holden has driven Mace’s production in new and interesting directions. James Mace currently resides in New York City.
