About Me
Born in France, DJ Nycks' knowledge of the origin of house music is inherent in his sets.. With 12 years djing experience under his belt, his international career has kicked off with residencies in France, Greece and now Sydney.
DJ Nycks has held residencies at the Villa Tara in France and Bolero Bar, in Mykonos, Greece and played alongside international DJs such as Charles Schillings, Laurent Wolf, Renae Stanton (Defected Records), Husky(Random Soul), Alex Taylor.
Strongly influenced by Chicago jackin house and New York soulful house his sets are layered with elements of funk, jazz,disco and soul. Organic house rhythms with funk inspired bass-lines layered with drum breaks, soulful vocals and funk and disco elements. DJ Nycks' track selection is second to none.
DJ Nycks secured residency after his first set in the heat of the Mars Lounge DJ Comp in 2008 and this Frenchie didn't take long to organise his first soiree; Carte Blanche.
In August 2009, DJ Nycks won The Oxford Hotel DJ Competition.
Co-founder of ACHE 4 HOUSE he often plays alongside other well respected DJs. DJ Nycks is proving not only to be a well respected DJ, but a professional and forward thinking event manager who is passionate about the re-emergence of House music in Australia.
