Nathan Cooper-Brown (Coops) hails from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and has been DJing now for 5 and a half years and producing for the last one. Beginning his trade in San Francisco under the watchful eye of Nor Cal native Dimitris Mykonos, Coop's humble start was in the Bay Area’s own soulful house genre. On returning to Melbourne Coop broadened his scope and became heavily influenced by Berlin's illustrious tech seen, and with this, was provided with a whole new world of inspiration.
Coop's beginnings in funk, soul, disco and classic house came together with his budding love of techno and deep grooves to create the bouncy, tail-feather shaking sound his fans came to know and love. Playing gigs in Birmingham in 2009, combined with regular sets at Killing Time, the infamous Brown Alley (supporting huge international acts) in tandem with continual gigs at high-profile bars/clubs (Q Bar, Roxanne Parlour, Korova, Saint, Albert Park Hotel, Hotel Barkly, Hotel Nest, just to name a few..
