As DJ Lady Spindrift, I started out as a turntablist at age 16. I began to study every fundamental DJ technique. Many prominent DJ groups that have influenced me: Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies, X-Ecutioners, Pitbulls, Heavy Hitters. My biggest influence in DJing is none other than Boston's own DJ Soulo. As a childhood friend of mine, I have studied under his wing and continued to learn the fundamentals and expand myself further behind the turntables. I showcased my DJing in high school talent shows and school pageants. This had brought me to spin at private parties and functions. My enrollment at the University of New Haven enabled me to spin weekly at WNHU 88.7 FM and Charger Radio online, performing alongside with DJ Lokash and Government Grant. I then returned to the Boston area and opened for childhood friend DJ Soulo at various events. As a lesbian DJ, I am always willing to provide constant support to and spin for the LGBT community, especially in the Boston area.
