Just marvelous! Great selections and, of course, MadameFly, a fabulous mix! Thank you!
01) Keith Jarrett Trio - I Thought About You 00:00
02) Joe Henderson - Flamenco Sketches 03:56
03) Joe Pass - I Am Waiting 13:25
04) Bill Evans & Eddie Gomez - A Face Without A Name 16:33
05) Joe Henderson - Isfahan 22:10
06) James Carter - Eventide 28:07
07) Tyler Hornby - Visible Sorrow 32:16
08) Doctor Jazz's Universal Remedy - Interlude 37:44
09) Dusko Goykovich - Remember Those Days 40:29
10) Dinah Washington - Darn That Dream 45:42
11) Joshua Redman Quartet - Chill 50:42
12) Miles Davis - Solea 58:18
13) Nils Okland - Hertervig Skisse 70:26
The first jazz album I bought was Miles Davis's Sketches of Spain; longform jazz was how I began. As the world opened up and more of everything became available to me, my attention span shortened a bit and my attraction to a good hook came to dominate my music tastes. But the capacity to enjoy longform music, whether it was jazz or ambient such as Brian Eno creates, never disappeared.
And certainly, as we head toward the longest night of the year, a session of longform jazz seems entirely appropriate.
So, of course, there's Miles from Sketches of Spain, along with selections from Keith Jarrett, Joe Henderson, James Carter, Joshua Redman, Joe Pass and Bill Evans, plus a few names that may be less familiar to you but are equally well worth knowing.
Props are due to my friend ThirdPower1 for his recent jazz session, http://www.mixcloud.com/thirdpower1/jazz-piano-unf... which provided the incentive for me to finally tackle one myself.

Great flow! Thank you!
After the succes from Cocktail Lounge 2013 and the bigger succes from Cocktail Lounge 2014 here is my last and new Cocktail Lounge 2015.
Hope & Wish the Cocktail Lounge 2015 will enjoy you again as the two Cocktail Lounge 2013/2014 mixes did before.
Cocktail Lounge 2013 is the number 1 in the 2013 year mix overall charts, and Cocktail Lounge 2014 is the number 1 in the overall mix charts from MIX.DJ
I am proud and happy and appreciated all the comments, the votes and support on the Cocktail Lounge mixes.
While the MIX.DJ website is heavily changed as the years before, we will see if the Cocktail Lounge 2015 will continue the amazing succes story from my Cocktail Lounge mixes
It take more then 225 hours to find tracks and put them in a correct order where transitions are flooding and smoothing on the way. I believe the Cocktail Lounge 2015 will give you the same experience, or maybe a better experience as the ones before..
Enjoy, comments, votes and support are much appreciated
I wish you all a Happy, Fantastic, Musicall and Healthy New Year 2015...
Love & Lounge Lula's World aka DJ Marty Hermsen
