About Me
Joop was born in 1980, a small country named Singapore. Living with 4 siblings in the hands of loving parents, have completed High School in 1997 and then enrolled in the Singapore Food & Beverage College, Shatec where he graduated as a bartender.
He started the entertainment industry in the year 2000. He began his career as a bartender at Carnegies Singapore. This was the placement where his knowledge and experience grew. In 2004, he then worked in one of the finest clubs in Singapore, The Liquid Room. In accordance of his loyalty to the company, he was promoted to Bar Supervisor. Whilst working, on-going events brought him the opportunity to meet with International DJs such as, Dave Angel, Marco Bailey, Roger Sanchez, James Zabiela, Chus & Ceballos and many more. With the love for dance music, he was motivated becoming like them.
Eventually he got his “first touch†on the deck through a friend who is a local DJ, that taught him the practical aspects of DJ-ing. His interest grew more and more as time went by. With passion, dedication, encouragement and motivation, Joop has taken dance music to the next level. At the early stage of his career, Joop got an opportunity to launch an event in one of the prestige clubs, EM Studio. His performance at EM Studio impressed other club owners who were present. He then received a contract to spin at O’Bar for their permanent Monday Night event, “Therapy Mondayâ€ÂÂÂÂ. Apart spinning in bars and clubs like, Jeanz, Illido, and Flo, Joop had also made a debut launchings for international branding and model shows like Tudor, IWC & Jewel of Jerusalem. The love for Deep, Minimal, Progressive, Tribal and Tech House, these had made him to go on, to become a professional DJ.
