Ionut Dumitrache a.k.a DJ Dumi was born in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. He had his first contact with techno music, at the age of ten, when he bought a Snap album. He fell in love with this music being fascinated by its specific sound and beats that went straight to his heart. He grew up on Snap’s, Techmania Rebel and Technotronic’s music being influenced later by the tribal house style and inspired by Danny Tenaglia, Robbie Rivera and Steve Lawler. Being a self-taught person he started playing with a few tracks letting himself captivated into the art of mixing music. He began playing at private parties where he was encouraged by friends and public to play for bigger crowds. He then continued to play in a few famous clubs in Bucharest where he was very well received by cheering audiences of over a thousand. His own, unique style can be characterised best as a flowery, lively and happy rhythm which uplifts the audience to the highest spirits.
