"the illistr8a" went from drawing in sketch books to becoming a lyricist. at the age of 18, landed a job as a Mobile DJ, which sparked his desire to mix and produce tracks. In 2003, after attending a Music Business Administration program, made some more attempts at emceeing and even recording an EP that was never released. over time he started using software programs like Propellerheads Reason, and Ableton Live to help make beats and remixes. using some background piano skill and with practice, was able to make some quality tracks. now mixing with vinyl and using Serato, his career started to point in a solid direction - professional deejaying and music production. In 2010, changed his name to DJ Charles Tiger and began focusing on producing electronic. with mix albums that each had a story to tell while keeping the dance floor packed.
in 2012 released a drum and bass ep called Touch of Bass under the name Soundlighter
