Plastic Thumbs pull all their influences from reggae, funk and the golden era of hip-hop. The duo have spent the last few years playing festivals and clubs separately, alongside acts such as Scratch Perverts, DJ Nu-Mark, The Nextmen, Mr. Scruff and many more, but have now pulled together with the same focus, colliding the buzz and crackling energy of dancehall with rhyme splatter beats and gut-wrenching low-end bass lines.
Their mixtape “Two Too Many Digits” was put together in December to showcase their eclectic sound. It has already received great praise from Radio Ones Chrome Kids, “This is BIG, a filthy mix of big and bashie Filth-step to keep you amused”. White Folks Get Crunked also posted "PT’s blend Ragga, Dirty Electronic Beats and Bass perfectly....We love it."
