Affiliate marketing can be thought of as outsourced marketing, in which you're hiring affiliates who are paid to bring you customers. If they drive visitors to your website, you don't have to pay them. You only pay them if they convert visitors into customers. While you are trying to generate traffic as a marketer, the main goal is to increase the number of customers. If you generate a million visitors a month, but the visitors don't equate to more leads or revenue, it's almost useless. This is why the affiliate marketing space is so popular, especially in the web hosting industry, where most of their business is from affiliates.affiliate marketing network

I'm not sure of the exact reasons why I started to rank, but I have a few theories. It was a very long, honest, and informative post on the subject. I believe this made it stand out from all the other reviews in which the author just wrote up a basic summary of what it's about. It also is one of the latest reviews on the book, so perhaps google freshness has something to do with it. I haven't done any linkbuilding on this page and it currently sits at #2.

This workshop is timed just prior to the online holiday shopping rush Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner! Several of the largest genealogy societies in the United States earn money for their programs and events by getting their members to use their affiliate links for online shopping.

The graphic summarises the affiliate marketing process. You can see that the when a visitor to an affiliate site (who may be an online publisher or aggregator) clicks through to a merchant site, this prospect will be tracked through a cookie being placed on the visitor's computer. If the prospect later transacts within an agreed period, i.e. usually 1, 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, the affiliate will be credited with the sale through an agreed amount (percentage of sale or fixed amount).
